Khaliques needed to enter the digital arena in order to promote its various offerings through online media, develop a new revenue stream through an online store, and compete for the attention of consumers interested in their type of offering to stimulate in-store sales.
Research was conducted into the respective competitive and consumer environments to determine how best to position the brand in the digital sphere. It was found that weddings were a top search item for the current time of year even though Khaliques had erroneously elected not to promote weddings in-store.
